I want to remind everyone that we will be having a free trial Yoga class this Thursday, 11/19, from 6-7 pm. No need to register, just show up by 6 o’clock if you want to give it a try. You will need to bring a yoga mat or equivalent.
The class is open to everyone, not just club members. Invite your friends and families to participate. You do not need any previous yoga experience.
I expect it to be a great way to improve your fencing. Yoga provides many benefits including: increased flexibility; increased muscle strength and tone; improved respiration, energy and vitality; maintaining a balanced metabolism; weight reduction; cardio and circulatory health; improved athletic performance; improved concentration; improved balance; and protection from injury. The class will emphasize those activities that particularly benefit fencing.
We will be starting regular classes in December. The monthly cost will be $32 for members and $40 for non-members, and you can enroll on our website. (Yoga only membership will be available.)
The instructor is Vickie Klosky. Vickie has a 200 hour Yoga Alliance Certificate and is Pilates Method Alliance certified. She has over 30 years of teaching experience.
